Self Motivation

My Story

After working as a mental health provider for over 20 years, the last two years were incredibly challenging. I realized the self-care practices I relied on earlier didn't sustain me as I aged. Life caught up with me, and stress led to health issues like high blood pressure, heart palpitations, depression, low energy, and an overall feeling of hopelessness. Conventional medicine put me on a cycle of medications that worsened my health. Knowing that pharmaceuticals weren't the answer for me, I made a significant change with my family's support, leaving my job to focus on healing and my well-being. 

I dove into integrative health to merge my mental health background and yoga expertise, reinventing myself without relying on the approach of “pulling myself up by my bootstraps," continuing to push myself and relying on medications that further complicated my health. I believe in lifelong learning and transformed into an Integrative Health Practitioner. Now, I'm healthier, happier, and eager to inspire others to make positive changes before a health crisis hits.
